Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro leaks in official CAD renders, dropping the “Plus” for “Pro”

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup is starting to take shape, and we’ve now got an early look at the entry-level flagship — the Galaxy S26 Pro. Exclusive CAD-based renders show off the phone’s design, confirming a few notable changes from last year’s Galaxy S25.

The first surprise? Samsung is ditching the “Plus” naming entirely. Instead, the base S25 is getting replaced with a Galaxy S26 Pro, while the new S26 Edge steps into the slot previously held by the Plus. That puts the Pro at the bottom of the flagship lineup, but don’t let the name fool you — this looks like a meaningful update.

On the outside, the S26 Pro shares the flat frame, rounded corners, and glass-and-aluminum build of the regular S26. But the back is where things diverge. Instead of lenses that protrude individually like on the S25, the Pro’s three rear cameras now sit inside a pill-shaped island. It’s still a vertically aligned triple-camera system, but the design gives it a cleaner look. Up front, you’ll find a slightly larger 6.3-inch display with thin, uniform bezels and a centered punch-hole selfie cam.

According to dimensions based on the CADs, the phone measures 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96mm (10.23mm at the camera bump). That makes it taller and wider than the S25, but also a bit thinner. All the buttons — volume and power — sit on the right side of the frame, and the backplate is flat to match the display.

Spec-wise, Samsung is reportedly loading the S26 Pro with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip (likely branded “for Galaxy” with higher clocks), though some regions could still see an Exynos variant. RAM could jump to 16GB on the base model — up from 12GB last year — and the battery may grow to 4,300mAh, compared to 4,000mAh in the S25. Sadly, Samsung isn’t adopting silicon-carbon batteries just yet.

Cameras may also see a boost. Rumors point to a new 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor replacing the 12MP unit from the S25. Details about the main and telephoto lenses remain unclear.

One of the bigger confirmations here is that the entire Galaxy S26 family will ship with built-in magnets, enabling proper Qi2 charging support — very much in line with what Apple and Google are already doing. The tradeoff? Reverse wireless charging (a.k.a. Wireless PowerShare) might not make the cut.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup in Q1 2026, likely January. And if leaks keep coming at this pace, it won’t be long before we see the S26 Ultra too.
