Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Leak Reveals Slimmer Design and Smaller Notch

Leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra have surfaced online, highlighting a subtle but important shift in design. Unlike its predecessors – the Tab S8 Ultra, Tab S9 Ultra, and Tab S10 Ultra – which all housed a dual front-facing camera inside a wide notch, the new model trims things down to a single selfie camera. The result is a noticeably smaller, semicircular notch that blends more seamlessly into the expansive 14.6-inch OLED display.

The change won’t completely eliminate the notch, as Samsung continues to pursue ultra-thin bezels, but it makes the front look far less intrusive. The screen resolution remains unchanged at 2,960 x 1,848 pixels, but reports suggest improvements in brightness and overall panel quality. On the back, the design stays consistent with two rear cameras – a wide and an ultra-wide – set in a minimal housing that preserves the sleek industrial aesthetic Samsung has been refining since the Tab S8 series.

According to WinFuture, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, despite earlier rumors pointing to the boosted 9400+ version. While the difference between the two is minor – a slightly faster Cortex-X925 core and a 20% NPU performance increase – Samsung’s choice suggests that battery efficiency may be prioritized over raw performance. Memory configurations will scale up to 16GB of RAM, with storage topping out at 1TB, and the tablet will debut with Android 16 and the yet-unseen One UI 8 interface for large screens.

Another notable design achievement is the thinness of the chassis. The Tab S11 Ultra will reportedly measure just 5.1mm, making it slimmer than the already sleek 5.4mm Tab S10 Ultra. Despite this, Samsung has managed to increase the battery capacity to 11,600mAh, compared to the 11,200mAh cell of its predecessor. Fast charging remains capped at 45W, as confirmed by certifications.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is expected to be officially unveiled at IFA in early September. If the leaks prove accurate, Samsung’s latest flagship tablet will not only refine its industrial design with cleaner lines and a less obtrusive notch, but also balance performance, battery life, and premium build quality – all while maintaining its status as one of the thinnest large-screen tablets on the market.
