Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Leaks in Hands-On Photos

Samsung’s next-generation foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold7, has been spotted in real-life images ahead of its expected July 2025 Unpacked debut. The leaked photos, which surfaced briefly on Chinese social media before being pulled down, offer our first hands-on look at the upcoming foldable’s design—and they confirm several long-rumored changes.

The photo, allegedly depicting a prototype or dummy unit, shows a triple-lens vertical rear camera array, similar in layout to the Z Fold6, but now placed on a wider camera island with the LED flash positioned slightly lower—fueling speculation that the Fold7 might pack a larger 200MP sensor. That would be a notable leap from the 50MP ISOCELL GN3 used in last year’s model.

Slimmer, Sharper, and More Refined

According to trusted leaker IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will measure 158.4 x 143.1 mm when unfolded, with an ultra-thin 3.9mm profile—a significant reduction from the Z Fold6’s 5.6mm thickness. When folded, the device is expected to come in under 9mm, making it Samsung’s thinnest foldable yet, and a strong contender against rivals like the Huawei Mate X6 and Oppo Find N5.

Visible in the leaked image is also the updated bezel design: Samsung is reportedly trimming the bezels to 1mm from the previous 1.9mm, allowing for an even more immersive internal display experience.

Under the Hood: Snapdragon for Some, Exynos for Others

The Snapdragon 8 Elite (for Galaxy) is expected to power the Fold7 globally, paired with 12GB RAM and a 4,400mAh battery—unchanged from the Z Fold6. However, there’s growing concern among European fans, as Samsung might equip the EU version with its in-house Exynos 2500 chip, already confirmed for the Galaxy Z Flip7.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is rumored to feature the Exynos 2400, delivering flagship-level performance from last year in a more affordable package.

A Full Foldable Lineup Incoming

The Z Fold7 won’t be launching alone. Samsung is expected to unveil three foldables during its early July 2025 Unpacked event:

  • Galaxy Z Fold7 – flagship foldable with cutting-edge design.
  • Galaxy Z Flip7 – updated clamshell foldable.
  • Galaxy Z Flip7 FE – more budget-friendly alternative.

With mass production reportedly underway, the Z Fold7 appears to be on track for a global rollout this summer. While the leaked photo doesn’t reveal all the rumored features—such as a seamless edge-to-edge cover display—it does confirm that Samsung is doubling down on refinement over reinvention.

As always, stay tuned. If this leak holds up, the Galaxy Z Fold7 could be Samsung’s most polished foldable yet.
