The handset is Sony Xperia Z2, that has actually leaked on the web last week in a less than convincing shot.
This render was created by Ben Ling, who imagines the Xperia Z2 as some sort of phablet with a 5.5 inch Triluminous Display with X Reality technology. The screen supports a Full HD resolution and we’ve got a 20.7 megapixel camera at the backwith Xenon flash and 1/2.3 inch sensor. There’s 16x digital zoom and an Exmor RS sensor for image and video.
Under the hood of the Z2 we find a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, so everything feels like the Xperia Z1 was transplanted to a bigger screen unit. This model is both dust and water resistant and it uses 3 GB of RAM, as well as 32 GB of storage. Luckily we also get a microSD card slot and a 3200 mAh battery.
The design keeps the edges of the Xperia Z1 and the trademark metal Power button, plus we get a physical camera button this time. Other than that the Xperia Z2 feels short and buffed up.
[Thanks Ben Ling]
