He created a vision of the 2019 Xiaomi flagship phone, which we’ll call the Xiaomi Mi 9. Seeing what the Chinese companies produced this year we may see it sans notch in real life, but for now it’s still here.
The device moves on to a triple camera and has a sort of wider and rounder teardrop notch. There’s a fingerprint scanner below the screen panel and the back camera includes a high res dual shooter, plus an extra third cam for depth capture. 3D face recognition is also here. Ben Geskin also published some specs:
- 6.4” AMOLED Display
- Snapdragon 8150 CPU
- 6/8/10GB RAM
- 3700mAh+ Battery/ Quick Charge 5.0
- Triple Camera (Main: Sony IMX586 48MP)
- In-Display Fingerprint Scanner
- Wireless charging
- 5G
Android Pie with a new MIUI is also here, even though nothing is mentioned about it. It’s hard to come up with something special after the hugely specced Huawei Mate 20 Pro for example. I’m also pretty sure we’ll see some colorful back plates with gradients, inspired by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro. Of course the price should be really appealing, something like $500 or so.
