On November 10th Apple is holding the next big event, which may well bring us the very first Apple Silicon-based computers, with Apple A14X Bionic CPUs inside. There have been leaks lately, especially for the new flavour of iMac and designers from Svetapple.sk took the leaks and turned them into the beautiful renders below.
What’s special about the new iMacs? They come in 24 inch and 32 inch flavours, with larger panels and thinner frames, plus more rounded corners than the iPad. Some leaksters claim that these iMacs may have to wait till 2021, but nothing is set in stone yet. The new iMac will adopt a more modern design, that replaces the current version, dating all the way back from 2012. It really feels like we’re getting an iPad Pro 2020 with a support/stand.
Screens are likely to increase, according to the source, from 21.5 inch to 24 inch and from 27 inch to 32 inch. The smaller unit will offer 4K or 5K resolution and the larger goes to 6K. 5 mm frames along the edges are predicted by the same source. The stand and the back were designed according to the approach of the current gen iMac. The shape of the aluminum structure should say the same and keep things minimalistic. Expect all new CPUs, maybe not the Apple A14X, but definitely some of the latest Intel, AMD, lots of RAM and graphics.
However, there’s also a theory about another new Apple Silicon CPU, the Lifuka codenamed unit, the Apple A14T, that even smokes the Intel Core i9. It’s a 5 nm CPU. Lovely design, but I’m scared about the price…
