It’s been a while since the design community has seen an iPhone concept that truly divides opinion — but this imagined iPhone 18 Pro (2026) does exactly that. Emerging from Chinese social media in late October, the render shows a radical rethinking of Apple’s camera architecture: two mirrored pill-shaped modules, stacked side by side, breaking away from the familiar triangular lens array we’ve seen since the iPhone 11 era.
At first glance, the symmetry is both unsettling and magnetic. One “pill” seems to host the main and ultrawide cameras, anchored by a LiDAR sensor beneath them. The second capsule introduces a periscope telephoto lens at the top and a mysterious secondary sensor below — possibly a depth module or even a dual-telephoto setup for continuous optical zoom. The idea of splitting the imaging system into twin modules gives the back a sculptural, almost mechanical personality, evoking the precision of high-end optical instruments rather than consumer electronics.
Elsewhere, the concept retains the flat edges and Dynamic Island punch-hole of recent iPhones but pairs them with sleeker curvature transitions and more pronounced metallic accents. The deep pink-beige tone shown here walks a fine line between understated luxury and experimental boldness — a departure from Apple’s usual restraint. According to accompanying rumors, the real iPhone 18 Pro could feature a 2nm Apple A20 Pro chip fabricated by TSMC, a variable-aperture camera system, and a redesigned Camera Control button that reacts to pressure rather than simple clicks or swipes.
