Motorola’s next midrange contender is on the horizon. While the Motorola Edge 60 series has already landed in Europe and Asia, the U.S. version is still waiting in the wings. Thanks to a fresh batch of high-quality renders from prolific leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks), we now have a clearer look at what to expect from the upcoming Motorola Edge 2025 — and it’s looking like a subtle but meaningful upgrade.
At first glance, the front of the Edge 2025 looks familiar. The phone sticks with the curved-edge OLED display and centered punch-hole selfie camera seen on its predecessor. The physical layout also remains unchanged: power and volume buttons on the right, and Motorola’s Quick Button on the left — a customizable shortcut key that can launch apps or features like email, flashlight, or even activate webcam mode.
Flip it over, though, and the changes are more noticeable. The Edge 2025 features a triple-lens camera system for the first time in the series, replacing the dual-camera setup on the 2024 model. The new design also includes a larger rectangular camera bump and a repositioned LED flash. Motorola is also bringing back the faux leather finish, this time in a Pantone-branded green colorway. No word yet on additional color options.
There’s no official spec sheet just yet, but if Motorola follows last year’s playbook, we can expect a solid upper-midrange package. The Edge 2025 is rumored to include:
- A high refresh rate OLED display
- In-display fingerprint sensor
- IP68 rating for water and dust resistance
- 5,000mAh battery
- 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging
- Android 15 out of the box
For reference, last year’s Edge 2024 came with a 6.6-inch 144Hz pOLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main camera with OIS. It also included a 13MP ultra-wide, 32MP selfie camera, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5G.
Motorola hasn’t confirmed a launch date, but the appearance of detailed renders suggests an announcement is imminent. The Edge 2024 launched in June, so it’s reasonable to expect a similar timeline this year. If that holds true, we should be seeing the Edge 2025 hit U.S. shelves within the next few weeks.
The Edge 2025 may not be a radical redesign, but with its upgraded camera system, refined build, and anticipated Android 15 experience, it’s shaping up to be a strong follow-up in Motorola’s increasingly competitive Edge lineup.
