MobiFrance celebrated the French Independence Day on July 14th by showing the world a neat concept phone shaped like the Eiffel Tower. The concept bears the name of FL (French Luxury) and it’s a touchscreen handset with a 7.2 megapixel camera.

If you hold the phone vertically it looks just like the famous French monument, the Eiffel Tower and you’ll also notice that it features speakers on its sides. The FL supports multimedia playback, features a vibration mode and that neat touchscreen is an OLED display. No news about the price of this beauty, but it’s pretty interesting to see the Sony Ericsson branding on it.

After being gone from public eyes for quite some time, the Gphone makes a brand new appearance as the design of the folks from Ammunition. It’s not a confirmed piece of info, but the latest rumours surrounding Google’s handset claim that the search engine giant chose this company to design the Google Phone.

Google Gphone Strikes Again

And why shouldn’t they, considering that they’re able to create handsets like the one above (for Samsung) and work with important companies like Panasonic, Dell, Nike or HP. If the Google Phone looks half as good as the device pictured above it will definitely be a hit, specially if it comes at a low price point.

We’ve got a new series of BlackBerry 9500 pics for you and this time, the media player of the phone makes an appearance. It would be a pity for a multimedia player not to use a 360 x 480 touch display to the max, plus the potential of the fresh 4.7 OS.

In case you’ve been on a deserted island for the past months, BlackBerry 9500, also known as Thunder will be the first touchscreen device made by RIM and a great iPhone rival. All we need now is iTunes-like service that delivers media content playable on the fancy glass display.

Talk about viral sites! Nokia has done it again, by making us feel like Lara Croft and Indy while we’re exploring the mystery of a … video. OpenAtYourOwnRisk.com is their latest viral site, that greets you a pretty easy to solve puzzle and reveals the details of the “game”.

Nokia Mystery Ready to be Revealed – “Open at Your Own Risk”

They talk of some royalties creating a clip “of grande weirdness” hundreds of years ago. Also the site mentions that this clip was hidden inside a box and that it’s protected by 4 seals. Of course we get clues, but they’re hidden in artefacts like Edison’s lightbulb, Apollo 11 and the Nokia Download Store.

The enigma will be cleared on Monday, July 7, but I bet that everyone will be celebrating the 4th of July and won’t have time to trouble their heads with such riddles. I smell a Nokia Tube launch… Do you?

Nokia’s first touchscreen phone might be just around the corner, as we’ve seen it featured in the poster below bearing the name “Nokia XpressMusic 5800“.

Nokia XpressMusic 5800 - the Tube is Back in a German Ad

This is a SMS Shop poster, but there aren’t many details about the S60 device, except for the fact that it will support WLAN and HSDPA. While most of us were waiting for an “XpressMedia” device, Nokia has decided to go with a more media-oriented handset, or so it seems.

Not getting enough out of your PSP or Nintendo DS? Yes, we’ve shown you , but the real thing’s always better. This time we have some official and confirmed info that claims Sony Ericsson signed a deal with GestureTek, in order to create a Nintendo Wii-style gaming experience and port it to the SE phones.

Sony Ericsson Just Confirmed the PSP Phone... or Did They?

The new software will rely on the one used on the Eye Toy device and it’ll make use of the new handsets’ camera, working just like the accelerometer does in the case of some . There are also 2 titles mentioned as compatible with the new handset/software: Crash Bandicoot and Super Monkey Ball.

Can the phone using GestureTek’s technology really be the long-awaited PSP Phone? We’ll just have to wait for Fall 2008 to find out…

The Kyocera BLK phone seems pretty promising and comes with a decent list of specs, unless you take into account the design, that seems borrowed from an older Nokia phone you’re very likely to guess.

Kyocera BLK Phone, Just Another Nokia Clone?

Amit Singh created this concept and this Kyocera phone includes 1GB SD memory, an MP3 player, Internet, email, a 3.2 megapixel camera, PC plug and play support, a speaker and voice recorder.

Next time be original, OK?

3G iPhone Is Curved and White Again

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Wow! Check out that 3G iPhone…again?! It’s probably the fifth time I’m seeing the “real” deal handset, so I won’t believe any picture till I see the genuine launch date edition of the device. The iPhone 2.0 is yet again “plasticky” and curved, making rumour for a bigger battery in order to stand that 3G battery drainer.

3G iPhone Is Curved and White Again

It would be a pretty weird choice for Apple, now that even the MacBook and iPod aren’t white any more, but the even worse thing is that there’s no front camera for videocalls incorporated. Let’s just hope it’s a good Photoshop, not a bad spy pic.
