Not getting enough out of your PSP or Nintendo DS? Yes, we’ve shown you PSP Phone concepts, but the real thing’s always better. This time we have some official and confirmed info that claims Sony Ericsson signed a deal with GestureTek, in order to create a Nintendo Wii-style gaming experience and port it to the SE phones.

The new software will rely on the one used on the Eye Toy device and it’ll make use of the new handsets’ camera, working just like the accelerometer does in the case of some Nokia devices. There are also 2 titles mentioned as compatible with the new handset/software: Crash Bandicoot and Super Monkey Ball.
Can the phone using GestureTek’s technology really be the long-awaited PSP Phone? We’ll just have to wait for Fall 2008 to find out…

The Kyocera BLK phone seems pretty promising and comes with a decent list of specs, unless you take into account the design, that seems borrowed from an older Nokia phone you’re very likely to guess.

Amit Singh created this concept and this Kyocera phone includes 1GB SD memory, an MP3 player, Internet, email, a 3.2 megapixel camera, PC plug and play support, a speaker and voice recorder.
Next time be original, OK?

Wow! Check out that 3G iPhone…again?! It’s probably the fifth time I’m seeing the “real” deal handset, so I won’t believe any picture till I see the genuine launch date edition of the device. The iPhone 2.0 is yet again “plasticky” and curved, making rumour for a bigger battery in order to stand that 3G battery drainer.

It would be a pretty weird choice for Apple, now that even the MacBook and iPod aren’t white any more, but the even worse thing is that there’s no front camera for videocalls incorporated. Let’s just hope it’s a good Photoshop, not a bad spy pic.

After checking out the BlackBerry Bold and wishful thinking about the Thunder 9500, it’s BlackBerry Kickstart’s turn to surface, in black. It’s RIM’s first attempt at designing a clamshell, but a terrible idea of incorporating a QWERTY keypad if you ask me.
It seems like a real handset, for now, but sometimes we wish certain handsets were rumours…

The folks of Allaboutsymbian imagined the future of the Nokia N-series and designed a fresh N100 unit. It solves all of the issues of the previous handsets, like the dim screen of the N82, or the unprotected camera glass of the Nokia N95 8GB. The N100 comes with a 2.8 inch display, the same as the E61 and N95 8GB.

Also, the concept features an N82-style protected 5 megapixel rear camera that also records VGA video. Troubled by the sunny weather when using your smartphone? Forget about that, because the N100 features a transflective screen plus GPS, WiFi and a BP-4L 1500 mAh battery.
It measures 120 x 51 x 12 mm and weighs 104 grams, plus it comes with a numeric keypad with discrete, large numbers, application shortcut keys plus microUSB jack, a 3.5 mm stereo audio/TV out jack. There’s no info on the RAM, processor or the internal memory of the device, but I bet that it packs some steam, even in that segment.

The Plantronics Versa concept design belongs to One & Co and basically it’s the future of wireless headsets. This concept wireless headset uses Bluetooth technology to connect to the mobile phone and comes in all shapes and sizes in order to suit the tastes of men, women or youths.

Plantronics Versa becomes a long metallic gizmo when it’s designed for men, but for women it’s a chrome necklace, so beautiful that it can be worn as a piece of jewellery. Teens will use a necklace plus clip (made of anodized aluminium) that is cool enough to make them trendsetters.
We’ll be seeing the Plantronics Versa on the market sometime in the following 2 years, so it seems that the concept is quite appealing to manufacturers.

We’ve just found out that there’s going to be another OLPC generation, the XO-2, getting launched in 2010, at a $75 price tag. But that’s no reason to stop us from imagining an even smaller, lighter and more portable device, with a tendency of becoming a smartphone, rather than a mini-notebook.

Great concept shown above, although it’s clear that we’re dealing with 2 joint iPhone devices. OLPC XO-2 Nano? Could be, but that will turn into a rather thick device. The Apple folks might be drawing some conclusions from such simple mockups.

Not much info on this one, since I’ve just found it on Flickr and it’s a fresh upload, but what I see here is a neat new type of clamshell. I can imagine this as a future Motorola, but the device is rather thick, compared to their thin RAZR phones.
Hopefully this new way of connecting two phone parts through a watch band-like hinge may solve the problem of circuits breaking down in that area.

Gamers? iPhone fans? Thought so… Seemingly there’s not “one ring to rule them all”, but there’s a pretty neat device that will turn your iPhone into a PSP, at least when it comes to gaming controls and experience plus design.
The iControlPad is only a prototype for now, but I’m guessing it’ll hit the market till Christmas. Keep in mind that it also works with the iPod Touch, in case you’ve chosen the iPhone’s “phoneless” twin. More details HERE.

There are few concept phones that remain in the memory of tech geeks and Nokia Aeon is one of them. It may be the touchscreen or the sci-fi look, but it’s there in our heads and waiting to be released. The latest piece of news is that it already exists, at least in the Nokia labs, so we’ve got an Aeon coming soon folks.

The only proof of the statement above is a picture, more or less fake that shows a handset with touchscreen displays and a removable bottom part. This part could be the Nokia interactive touch keypad we’re eager to see in action.
Before we get the official word from Nokia, let’s remember what Aeon was like when we first saw it:
