Loading ... Loading ... Antoine Brieux has already created a couple of pretty cool concept phones till now, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that we’re impressed by the original NAK BYO concept. We’re dealing with a highly customizable device, that takes modularity to a new level.

Just like in the case of a PC, you’ll pick the components you like and create your own phone.

BYO stands for “Build Your Own” and you should know that only the main body of the handset will stay the same, as you attach a 4.1 inch capacitive AMOLED display (the maximum size for it) to it and you choose the CPU platform you want (Intel, Nvidia or Qualcomm) and the memory size (8GB, 16GB, 32GB).

NAK BYO also supports any OS choice (Android, Windows Mobile, Symbian OS) and it can incorporate camera sensors of 5, 8 or 12 megapixels resolution. All parts are interchangeable and when new components hit the market, you can upgrade the device as you please. A GPS chip can also be added making this beauty the smartphone of your dreams and a DIY treasure.
