Samsung Galaxy S28 Ultra is very far from us, since it’s 2028 material. We’re just coming across some S27 Ultra concepts, renders and leaks, that show horizontal cameras, but the S28 Ultra goes into a totally different direction. The creation of YouTube Channel Peacock, this S28 Ultra is thought as more of a Xiaomi Ultra rival.
At the back lays an intricate camera, with a periscope shooter and a main 250 megapixel camera. I am very curious about the increment of camera resolution in the future, moving on from 108 MP to 200 MP and more. The device also has an S-Pen, which was rumored to be canned from the series, but we have yet to see that. There are also 3 other 50 MP back cameras, two telephotos and one ultrawide. I expect one to offer a 3X optical zoom and the other 5X optical.
Or maybe Samsung goes the OPPO way and delivers a 10X optical zoom camera. I have to admit that I’ve been more than my fair share of leaks, talking about ditching the secondary telephoto camera, which makes sense. Nowadays, high resolution main sensors can deliver 2X or 3X crops, for optical zoom-level capture, enhanced by AI. There’s also 100X Space Zoom here, real time 8K Spatial Video Recording and more.

Another trend to follow would be hiding the selfie camera below the screen, for a more immersive experience. Also, if the S27 Ultra has a horizontal camera, the S28 Ultra will probably also have a horizontal one. The reason? Adopting a Magsafe style system of magnets and a larger battery, initially a 5500 mAh unit.
