2019 brought us a midrange Pixel phone, the Pixel 3a and Google doesn’t seem ready to stop there. Now it’s prepping a Pixel 4a, which just got rendered thanks to the usual suspect, @OnLeaks, aka Steve H, in cooperation with 91mobiles. We also have a video of the device at the end of the article.

The source of the leak has 5K renders and a 360 degree video. Pixel 4a comes with a punch hole display, a single back camera and also a 3.5 mm audio jack. Google Pixel 4a has a flat screen that will have a 5.7 inch or 5.8 inch diagonal. That’s a small bump from the 5.6 inch screen of the Pixel 3a. We see a small earpiece above the screen and the bezels are a bit on the thickie side, but since this is competing with the iPhone XR and iPhone 11, that’s allowed.

It’s not very clear if we’re going to get a Project Soli-based Motion Sense technology here for gesture control, especially considering the bezels are narrower compared to the Pixel 4. As far as the back goes, we see a matte finish and a protruding camera hump. The camera module has the same form factor as on the Pixel 4, which seems a tad overkill for a singular sensor and LED flash. There’s an audio jack at the top and we also have some measurements for the device: 144.2 x 69.5 x 8.2 mm, but with the bump it goes to 9 mm in thickness.

The device will come in White or Black and pack at least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, plus a Snapdragon 730 or 765 CPU. Expect a 12.2 MP main camera and even 5G is on the table at this point in time. That single camera better be worth it…
