With Google’s Pixel 10 series expected to debut officially on August 20, complete with same-day pre-orders and a shipping date of August 28, it was only a matter of time before the leaks started flowing. Now, early prototype images of the Pixel 10 Pro have surfaced via China’s CoolAPK forums, giving us a clear glimpse at what could be the next big thing in Google’s hardware playbook.
The device in question is reportedly a DVT (Design Validation Test) unit, internally codenamed “Blazer.” According to the leak, it’s running on Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and boots into Android 16 out of the box.
Tensor G5’s CPU layout includes a blend of two Cortex-A520 cores, five Cortex-A725 cores (split across two clusters), and one high-performance Cortex-X4 core, making it the most ambitious configuration in the Pixel lineup so far. The SoC is also said to include a g5400i modem, likely derived from Samsung’s Exynos range.
On the outside, the Pixel 10 Pro prototype shows some minor but notable design adjustments compared to the Pixel 9 Pro. The USB-C port is now flanked by two identical cutouts, suggesting symmetrical speaker grilles—possibly a better stereo audio setup. The SIM tray has migrated to the top-left edge, freeing up space along the frame.
The camera bar on the back looks slightly thicker, possibly to accommodate larger or upgraded sensors. Meanwhile, the front display now appears more edge-to-edge, with the cover glass extending further outward—hinting at slimmer bezels or a tighter fit and finish.
According to early reports, Google is planning a multi-device rollout for the Pixel 10 generation. In addition to the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, we might also see a Pixel 10 Pro XL and even a Pixel 10 Pro Fold, though exact specs and launch timelines for those models remain unclear.
With nearly two months to go before the official reveal, Google now faces the usual challenge: keeping the excitement alive while leaks continue to chip away at the element of surprise. Still, if the Pixel 10 Pro delivers on the promise of raw performance and meaningful design tweaks, fans may not mind the early peek.
