HMD Skyline 2 and Skyline 2 GT Leaked: Flagship-Level Specs with Lumia DNA and Android 15

HMD is doubling down on its Lumia-inspired smartphone revival. Following last year’s launch of the Skyline, a nostalgic nod to Nokia’s design heritage, the company is now prepping not one but two new successors: the Skyline 2 and the more powerful Skyline 2 GT. A fresh specs leak reveals key details about both phones—and if the information holds up, HMD might be cooking up its most capable Android smartphones yet.

The Skyline 2 GT appears to be the headliner, featuring a 6.55-inch flat P-OLED display with a silky 144Hz refresh rate and a blazing 2000 nits peak brightness, designed for both smooth scrolling and outdoor visibility. It’s reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM, and will run Android 15 out of the box.

On the camera front, HMD is going all-in: a 50MP front camera for selfies, and a flagship-class triple rear setup—including a 108MP main sensor with OIS, two additional 50MP lenses, and a 3D ToF sensor for depth and AR use cases. Rounding things out are dual stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.3, a Quick button, a dedicated camera button, IP67 dust and water resistance, and Qi 2.0 wireless charging with a built-in magnetic coil—indicating MagSafe-style support.

Meanwhile, the Skyline 2 tones things down slightly but retains key features like the same 6.55-inch P-OLED FHD+ display, 144Hz refresh rate, and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip. It will include 33W fast charging, a 5,000mAh battery, and wireless charging with the same magnet-based Qi 2.0 support. Camera-wise, it’s still formidable: a 50MP selfie shooter and a 108MP + 13MP dual setup on the back with OIS.

Both phones will reportedly launch with Android 15 and 3 years of software upgrades, reinforcing HMD’s commitment to long-term support. The Skyline 2 is also said to feature self-repair Gen 2, an initiative that makes it easier for users to replace parts themselves—an increasingly rare trait in today’s flagship landscape.

While HMD hasn’t officially confirmed launch dates, the frequency of leaks suggests a debut could be imminent. Also in development: two new WearOS-powered smartwatches, the Rubber 1 and Rubber 1S, which are expected to round out HMD’s growing hardware ecosystem.

For now, the Skyline 2 GT is shaping up to be one of the boldest Android phones in the mid-premium tier—Lumia DNA, flagship features, and a clean Android experience all in one.
