Motorola’s 2026 leak cycle is moving fast. After the Edge 70 Pro and Razr 70 Ultra surfaced earlier today, the standard Motorola Razr 70 has now appeared in a new batch of official-looking renders, giving us a closer look at the company’s next mainstream foldable flip phone.
The design doesn’t stray far from the Razr 60 formula, and that may not be a bad thing. Motorola seems to be refining rather than reinventing here. The new renders show a familiar clamshell foldable with slim bezels, a centered punch-hole selfie camera on the main display, and a large cover screen that wraps around the dual rear cameras.
Three colors are visible in the leak: Pantone Sporting Green, Pantone Hematite, and Pantone Violet Ice. The green version stands out with a leather-like textured rear finish, while the pink model appears to use brushed metal styling. The gray Hematite option looks more understated, with an industrial aesthetic that fits the Razr identity well.
The outer display remains one of the key selling points. It looks spacious enough for widgets, notifications, quick replies, navigation, and camera previews without needing to open the phone. Motorola has been ahead of several rivals in making cover screens genuinely useful, and the Razr 70 seems set to continue that approach.
Specs tied to the leak point to a 6.9-inch inner foldable display with 1080 x 2640 resolution, paired with a 3.63-inch external screen at 1056 x 1066. Memory options could include 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM, alongside 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. That would give buyers a wider range of choices than many competing flip phones.
The camera system may be the most interesting change. Instead of the ultrawide seen on the previous generation, the Razr 70 is rumored to feature a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. That would be an unusual move in this segment, where ultrawide lenses are more common. A 32MP selfie camera is also expected.
Battery capacity is tipped at 4,500 mAh, which would be solid for a compact foldable. The chipset remains unknown, though reports suggest Motorola is switching away from the processor used in the Razr 60.
