According to rumors, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor (also known as Snapdragon 8 Elite) is expected to be unveiled this month. This means that by the end of October, we can expect the debut of the first flagship phones powered by this processor. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is said to be one of these models, and today, the publication Smartprix has posted realistic-looking renders that showcase the design of the new top-tier smartphone. Below are the details.
From what I can see, the new model doesn’t stray far from the design of the current flagship, the Xiaomi 14 Pro. It has a nearly flat back, slightly rounded corners, and a square camera module on the back, covered by glass. We can also spot the LEICA logo, with the flash now positioned next to the large camera module. The phone is expected to come in white, gray, and black, with a special edition featuring titanium edges.
In terms of specs, Yogesh Brar suggests that the phone will almost certainly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The 6.78-inch display will be curved on all four sides and have a 2K resolution. On the back, there will be three 50 MP camera sensors. The phone will reportedly feature a 6000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, with charging speeds of 90W, possibly even 120W via cable. The device will have IP69 certification for water and dust resistance, and configurations will go up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of fast storage.
According to leaks, the Xiaomi 15 series will debut on October 23 at a special event in China. Besides the smartphones, the company is expected to unveil the HyperOS 2.0 interface, based on Android 15. Now, it remains to be seen what other surprises the Xiaomi 15 Pro holds in store.
