We’ve seen phones inspired by perfumes, flowers and even animals, but this is the first time I’ve seen a whiskey-themed device. Juyoung Kim designed the
LG Cyon Whiskey concept phone, that changes its color to a “shade of whiskey” showing the distance of the person calling you.

This handset packs a full touchscreen display, an 8 megapixel camera and uses its ability to change color like a chameleon, in order to show the distance between people chatting on the phone.
If you’re talking to someone that calls from the same town, the phone will display a “mild whiskey” color, but if you’re getting a call from thousands of miles away, LG Cyon Whiskey will change its color drastically, to a darker shade.

Petitinvention once again introduces a superb concept phone and, as far as I know, the creative genius behind this is an Apple fan, so my lucky guess (based on the device’s look) is that we might be dealing with a so-called Mac Phone. The designer of the device compares it to Nokia Aeon, but I think this is better and more original.

Notice the fancy keyboard (QWERTY and numeric), the brilliant touchscreen and the “Mac white” displayed by the device? Practically, the handset has no borders, so we’re talking full touchscreen, in an original way. If you ask me about the OS of this concept, I might say Android, but I don’t think that Google’s software is worthy enough to be emulated on this beauty…

Last time we saw the
Nokia N98 concept phone, it was an iPhone clone with a twist and uber-specs. Well, Tobias Hornof gave it another shot and created the wonderful device below. This N98 concept design is surely no iPhone, or its remote relative, but rather takes the whole idea of full touchscreen handset further.

It reminds me of the LG Synthesis, while the full touchscreen is really FULL, as I can see that there are no visible edges at the side of the phone. The interface is basic enough to suit any user’s tastes, but I’m curios to see how a virtual QWERTY keypad works on this display. All in all a great device!

My first thought after seeing this handset was that I was checking out yet another iPhone clone, but one with thicker edges and a smaller screen. Nice to see the virtual keyboard separated from the actual screen, but we’re in the era of full QWERTY devices, so this might not appeal to the public too much.
If you ask me, this would be a perfect iPod, a video iPod to be more precise… This black and white device was designed by Philippe Barsol.

Since when is Walkman a smartphone series? Well, since the moment I saw the tiny Walkman branding under the screen of this device. And what a display does this “Hicaru” have!

Yes, we’re getting new rumours about the Sony Ericsson Hicaru, a handset that reminds me of the cancelled Paris. There are claims that it’ll come with a full touchscreen, but other than that there’s no info about it.
I’ve also seen this phone codenamed Hikaru, so in case you get to see the “c” version someplace else, it might be the same handset.

Want a full touchscreen smartphone with a cool illuminated virtual keypad? For now, a concept fulfils your demands, the P1 smartphone, designed by Cyrill Drummerson. The designer relies on the fact that his handset shows a minimum number of buttons, in order to simply the interface.

Almost all of the frontal panel of the handset is touch sensitive, while the camera and display are covered by a polymeric material that grants them a special black glossy look. Even the author of the concept admits that it resembles the iPhone, although it’s not even close to a clone, unlike most touchscreen phones nowadays.

Got too much free time and don’t know what to do with it? Let your phone teach you how to have fun and what to do for fun. At least that’s the case of the
Pantech Twist phone, destined for the youth market and designed by Gregory Davis. It features a jaunt function that recommends various activities (likes trips) based on your location, preferences and profile.

The Twist Phone also allows you to read reviews or watch videos, before going to see a movie it recommended you. Of course, the handset features GPS and its touchscreen display is great for viewing maps, movies or pics, either horizontally or vertically.
Twist includes a full split-surface touchscreen that allows you to view content on one side of the screen and browse through the menus on the other side.
