Today we’ve come across a crazier concept phone, this time appearing to be a crossover between the Apple Mac Pro with its cheese grater design and the Apple Watch. The Apple iPhone 16s is the creation of Petar Trlajic, featured on Behance and also detailed in the video below.
The dubstep-heavy video showcases a “new kind of iPhone” with a special Capture button and also a gigantic speaker at the back. It also has artificial intelligence galore. The inspiration comes from the Rabbit R1 and the idea was to create a small gadget that would conjure the idea of a mini iPhone, for usability purposes.
Rabbit R1 is an interesting gadget for sure, but this one isn’t all about the AI. It has an 82 mm x 82 mm metal frame, with a thickness of 14.5 mm, which is kind of bulky if you ask me. The metal rods make it 103 mm high in total. They can serve as protections for the frame and mics and also let you attach the device to a strap and carry it around with you.
There’s no need to have the device in your pocket anymore. The back face is split into a small glass section with the camera housing, reminding me of the older iPhones, with the separation from the antenna lines. The glass camera housing extends into the antenna line. There’s no rotatable camera or scroll wheel like the Rabbit R1 has.
The idea is to make it minimalistic. The grille at the back supports some very strong speakers and makes the appearance unique. The shutter button on the side was inspired by the Apple Watch Ultra. “S” from the name stands for “small” this time.
