Interestingly, it will match those models in RAM, suggesting Apple still wants the Air to handle serious tasks, even if its internal specs aren’t maxed out. But minimalism seems to be the mantra here: the battery is expected to be underwhelming, and the camera setup has reportedly been trimmed down to a single rear lens. For many, though, that won’t be a dealbreaker — this is clearly a phone built for those who prioritize sleek design and a barely-there feel in the pocket.
And Apple is doubling down on that lightweight aesthetic with a fresh pastel color palette. The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly ship in four finishes: black (understated), silver (clean and premium), light gold (muted and almost neutral), and a barely-there light blue, said to verge on white in most lighting. That last hue is expected to be the signature look for the Air, echoing the vibe of the MacBook Air M4. The colors are soft, desaturated, and intentionally unobtrusive — no neon or bold metallics here. It’s a visual style that leans into the Air branding: weightless, calm, minimal.
Design-wise, the iPhone 17 Air will retain Apple’s trademark clean lines, flat or subtly curved edges, and high-end materials — even if the internals are simplified.
