Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand is gearing up for another budget release with the upcoming Redmi 15C, and thanks to a comprehensive leak, we now have a full look at what the entry-level phone will offer — including specs, color options, and European pricing.
According to a report from YTechb, the Redmi 15C will feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, up from the 6.88-inch panel on its predecessor. A waterdrop notch houses the 13MP front camera, while the back features a 50MP main shooter alongside a secondary lens. The design, shown in official-looking renders, will be available in four colors: Moonlight Blue, Black, Pink, and Green.
Under the hood, the device is said to pack a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, the same one found in the previous generation — suggesting that Xiaomi isn’t chasing performance upgrades this time, but rather improvements in display and battery. Speaking of battery, the 15C is expected to come with a 6,000mAh cell supporting 33W wired charging, a notable bump over the Redmi 13C’s 5,160mAh and 18W setup. EPREL certification also indicates that the battery should retain 80% of its original capacity after 1,000 charging cycles, making it more durable in the long run.
The Redmi 15C reportedly measures 173 x 81 x 8.2 mm and weighs 205 grams, putting it on the larger side of the budget segment. As for pricing, the phone will start at €129 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the 256GB version will retail for €149. With a bigger screen, longer-lasting battery, and modern refresh rate, the Redmi 15C appears to be a solid contender for the affordable Android market — assuming these leaks hold true.
