iPhone Fold Tipped to Start at $2,100 — and It Won’t Be Cheap to Flex

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is still shrouded in secrecy, but the pricing picture is slowly coming into focus — and it’s shaping up to be Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet. According to a new tip from reliable leaker Instant Digital, the so-called iPhone Fold could land with a launch price between $2,100 and $2,300.

That lines up with earlier reports suggesting a price range from $2,000 to $2,500, and puts Apple’s foldable firmly above rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 ($1,900) and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold ($1,800). In fact, if the rumor holds, the iPhone Fold could cost nearly double what the iPhone 16 Pro Max does at its base price of $1,199.

The rumored pricing reportedly stems from Apple’s typical profit margins — which, let’s be honest, rarely leave room for “affordable.” Still, Apple might be justifying the premium with some serious hardware upgrades. The foldable is expected to feature a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 7.8-inch main foldable panel, both supplied by Samsung.

There’s also talk of a liquid metal hinge that’s stronger than titanium — a fitting choice for a device that will no doubt be scrutinized for durability.

In terms of size, the iPhone Fold is rumored to be incredibly thin: just 4.5 to 4.8mm when open, and around 9 to 9.5mm folded — that’s leaner than most foldables on the market today.

While we’re likely still a year out from an official announcement, one thing’s becoming clear: when the iPhone Fold finally lands, it’s going to be a luxury flex — in every sense of the word.

iPhone Fold Display Leak Hints at Crease-Free Main Screen and Punchy Specs

With Apple’s foldable iPhone rumored to debut sometime in 2026, the leaks are starting to pile up — and the latest gives us a closer look at what could be the device’s standout feature: the displays. According to tipster yeux1122, who shared fresh intel on Naver, the iPhone Fold will come with some very specific — and very premium — screen tech.

The main folding display is said to measure 7.76 inches diagonally, packing a 2713 x 1920 resolution and, notably, an under-display camera. That approach mirrors what Samsung’s been doing since the Galaxy Z Fold3, which makes sense given Samsung is reportedly the primary supplier for Apple’s foldable panels.

But here’s where things get interesting: Apple is allegedly going for a crease-less design on the main screen — one of the most-requested features in the foldables space and something the competition still struggles with. If Apple pulls it off, it could set a new benchmark for premium foldables.

On the outside, the cover display will reportedly be 5.49 inches with a 2088 x 1422 resolution, featuring a punch-hole selfie cam instead of the under-display tech used on the inside. That setup suggests Apple might still be playing it safe when it comes to selfie quality — at least on the outer screen.

The leak also backs up recent claims that the iPhone Fold won’t feature Face ID, instead opting for a Touch ID sensor built into the power button — something Apple fans haven’t seen since the iPad Air.

As for the price? Earlier reports peg it in the $2,100 to $2,300 range, putting it well above Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Pixel Fold series. But if Apple delivers on a crease-free display and its signature hardware polish, there’s a good chance die-hard fans will be more than willing to flex.
