After renders for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL surfaced last month, it’s now the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s turn in the spotlight. Leaked CAD-based renders of Google’s upcoming foldable offer an early look at what the company is preparing for its 2025 foldable lineup.
At first glance, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold looks nearly identical to last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold—and that’s very much by design. The form factor remains sleek and squared-off, with the signature horizontal camera bar returning once again. Based on early specs, the foldable measures 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3mm when unfolded—just slightly thicker than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s 5.1mm depth. But given that CAD measurements can vary by fractions of a millimeter, these differences might be imperceptible in the final hardware.
One detail the renders don’t show: the phone in its folded state. But even so, the source confirms the unfolded thickness will be just 0.2mm more than its predecessor.
While we don’t yet have a full spec sheet, current leaks suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be powered by Google’s next-gen Tensor G5 chip, built by TSMC. That marks a shift away from Samsung’s foundry and could signal performance and efficiency gains. RAM is expected to remain at 16GB, with 256GB and 512GB storage options likely returning.
The device, codenamed “Rango,” is set to join the rest of the Pixel 10 family during Google’s usual August “Made by Google” event. That launch will also feature the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL.
Much like the rest of the Pixel 10 lineup, the Fold model doesn’t appear to be a radical reinvention—rather, it’s an evolution of an already polished design. That may disappoint those looking for something dramatically different, but considering the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s strong design, this iteration could be more about refinement than reinvention.
Interestingly, multiple sources have hinted that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may launch at a lower price than its predecessor. If true, that would run counter to the trend among other flagship foldables this year, many of which are becoming more expensive or holding steady at premium price points.
We’re still months away from the official unveiling, but with early renders and spec leaks now in the wild, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold looks to be a polished, incremental update rather than a dramatic leap forward. And that might be just what Google needs as it continues to refine its foldable game.
