One of the least leaked flagships of the year 2024 is definitely the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. It’s only today that we get to see it for the very first time. It looks just as expected, but with a change in the camera area. We also get to see it in 3 color hues.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro may end up with the name Edge+ (2024) in US. The renders have been unveiled by the folks of Android Headlines. The design of the Edge 50 Pro seems to be a more refined version of the predecessor, Motorola Edge 40 Pro. We see some updates, like the back curved around the edges of the camera module.
The device will be available in black, purple and silver. The later will come with a faux leather texture at the back. We also learn some specs, like a triple camera setup, that includes a 50 megapixel main sensor, with F/1.4 aperture, an ultrawide camera and a telephoto camera with 6X zoom. Either in sensor or physical, that’s not yet clear.
Reports claim that the camera will integrate laser autofocus and optical image stabilization. Other expected specs include a 6.7 inch display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, plus a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 12 GB of RAM. There’s also a 4500 mAh battery with 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The product will debut in China first, under the name Motorola X50 Ultra, with some AI powered features. We have yet to learn of an official launch date, but leaks are talking about an introduction in the first week of April. Other details will be leaked soon.
