CMF Phone Mini Concept Adopts Design Traits from Other CMF Products

At first sight, the camera module of the CMF Phone Mini Concept feels a bit like the Galaxy S22 camera module, but with a horizontal orientation. And only two sensors. But then you also see the dial and visible screws and figure out it’s all CMF visual identity.

Designer Preet Ajmeri is responsible with this concept phone and he envisions finally a smartphone for people with small hands. The iPhone 13 Mini was the last stand of such phones and nowadays no phone goes below the 6.1 inch diagonal. The CMF Phone Mini concept was posted by designer Preet Ajmeri straight to the Nothing Community forum, so it received plenty of feedback from there.

This phone doesn’t scream “flagship”, The back panel features a two tone approach and it’s secured by exposed screws. It’s also sort of a tribute to the modularity of the CMF Phone 1 and 2 Pro. The little dial at the lower right may in the end not be a functional dial at all, but rather a lanyard attachment spot.

Perhaps it could be integrated with the Essential Space, if it’s actually a button, but I’m not sure a CMF phone gets a taste of that AI suite. Nothing may end up never building a phone like this, but at least the color hues deserve a chance.

A diagonal below 6 inches would be a real niche choice here, a good one.
