The first real-life photo of the upcoming OnePlus 15 has surfaced online, and while the design isn’t exactly shocking, it does confirm that OnePlus is moving away from the circular camera module it has used in recent flagships. Instead, the new module looks more in line with what we’ve seen from Apple and Xiaomi, which could be both a fresh start and a divisive choice.
The image, posted on Weibo by a reliable source, shows the OnePlus 15 in three colorways: Dune (a muted gray), Absolute Black, and Mist Purple. Compared to the bold orange iPhone 17 Pro, these shades feel understated and a little more serious.
Spec-wise, the phone is expected to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, putting it among the first devices to carry the chip later this year. Around front, we’re looking at a 6.78-inch 1.5K display, while inside sits a massive 7,000 mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
OnePlus is also reportedly preparing an in-house image engine for the 15, following the end of its partnership with Hasselblad. And in case you’re wondering: yes, this is the direct sequel to the OnePlus 13. The company skips the number 14 due to cultural superstition in China.
Launch is expected in October in China, with global availability likely to follow soon after.
