Samsung Galaxy A54 Renders Leaked; What’s New?

Samsung Galaxy A53 was in the news recently, having received the update to Android 13 and One UI 5.0, but there’s already a successor brewing. Interestingly enough, Samsung decided against an A53s this year. That’s why the Samsung Galaxy A54 comes into play, with a fresh batch of renders leaked online.

All credits go to @OnLeaks and also 91mobiles and now let’s analyze the images. The biggest and easiest change to spot is the fact that the device opts for a triple camera in lieu of a quad cam setup. The facade is similar to the A53 one, but the diagonal goes to 6.4 inches, which is 0.1 inch smaller than the A53 screen. It also keeps the AMOLED panel, FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

As far as I can see there’s no longer a camera island, since the lenses sprout directly from the device’s back side. Sadly, the bezels are still huge, for the current design trends. Also the placement of the LED flash triggers my OCD. We also learned recently that the main camera would be swapped, from a 64 megapixel unit on the Galaxy A53 to a 50 megapixel primary cam, with superior optics.

There’s also an USB-C port at the bottom, flanked by speaker grilles and a mic. There’s also the SIM tray at the top side and on the right side we find a volume rocker and Power button. The in display fingerprint scanner is definitely here. We also have measurements: 8.2 mm thickness, which is 0.1 mm beefier than the A53, but this also means a larger battery, a 5100 mAh unit.
