Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G Shown Off in New Images, Leaves Little to Imagination

Since there will be no Galaxy Note 21 this year, the highest performing phone left for Samsung to launch this year is the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G. Letsgodigital just rendered it in detail with the aid of the Italian designer Giuseppe Spinelli aka Snoreyn. At the same a leak of an official poster for the device unveils 4 color hues.

The device will come in gray, green, violet and white, sans a black version this time. It can easily be confused with a Galaxy S21 or S21+, if you ask me. Codenamed SM_G99OB, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G follows a highly successful S20 FE 5G, very much beloved by the public over the past year. On paper the S21 FE 5G should drop in August, with the Z Fold 3, but the chip crisis has delayed it till September or October apparently. One difference compared to the S21 is the fact that the camera module is a bit smaller now.

The handset is expected to have a polycarbonate case, a 6.5 inch 120 Hz screen and a Snapdragon 888 CPU, or even an Exynos 2100 in Europe. It should also have 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and the same triple camera setup as the S21 one, with a 12 MP main shooter, 12 MP ultrawide and 64 MP telephoto cam. The thing is that the S20 FE 5G had 3X optical zoom, so a 1.1X zoom would be perceived as a downgrade. It sounds inevitable to me…

A more limited number of units will be on offer, according to our sources. I’d also like to see a selfie camera upgrade, faster charge and stereo speakers, but I wouldn’t guarantee it. I’m also very curious if we’ll have a 4G version or not.
