Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Appears In New Concept Video With Boxier Design

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra have started leaking a lot lately and today we also get a brand new render. If the Galaxy S22 Ultra felt close to a Galaxy Note rather than a typical Galaxy S, now things are taken one step further.

We’re talking about an even boxier, angular, rectangular design compared to the typical Galaxy S approach. Of course, Samsung may play it safe and offer us the exact same design as this year. Designer Technizo Concept tried out his hand with this new product and the result can be seen here, in both renders and a video.

It all started with leakster Ice Universe, claiming that the curvature radius of the frame will be different for the new Ultra. Why? Because apparently it frees some space inside the phone. Aside from the boxier design, which is definitely a Galaxy Note tribute, the S23 Ultra will have a 200 megapixel back camera, up from 108 megapixels and it will keep the “L” shaped camera module at the back.

The sensor used here will be an ISOCELL HP3, closer to the Xiaomi 12T Pro rather than the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra one. There will be 3 lens rings protruding from the back side, instead of being part of a lifted camera island or module. Once again we fail to see any major upgrades for the zoom sensors, with a 10 MP telephoto camera with a periscope 10X magnification of the optical variety, plus a 3X optical zoom cam.

This time we only get the S23 in a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 version, with a 12th gen OLED panel and more RAM and storage. Hopefully there’s no 8 GB RAM version this time.
