The Samsung Galaxy S25 series has already seen its fair share of leaks. We’ve had glimpses of renders, spec sheets have made their way online, and it’s clear there won’t be major design overhauls compared to its predecessor. Now, new dummy unit photos of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have surfaced online, giving us a better idea of its refined design. The upcoming flagship appears to be slimmer, slightly more compact, and features more rounded corners. Below are the details.
The dummy unit lists the exact dimensions: 162.82 x 77.65 x 8.25mm. For comparison, the S24 Ultra measured 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6mm and weighed 232g. While the dummy can’t reveal the weight of the new S25 Ultra, trusted tipster Ice Universe estimates it will be around 219g. So, the S25 Ultra is a bit taller, over a millimeter narrower, thinner, and—most notably—lighter than its predecessor.
The design tweaks extend to the bezels as well, which are reportedly 30% thinner than the 2024 model, shrinking from 3.35mm to just 2.3mm. This results in a larger screen-to-body ratio and a more immersive viewing experience. The punch-hole for the selfie camera remains, as does the earpiece located within the top bezel.
Samsung seems to have taken user feedback to heart, particularly complaints about the ergonomics of the S24 Ultra. While the design changes may seem minor at first glance, they should significantly improve the in-hand feel and ease of use. With a slightly narrower and lighter body, the S25 Ultra should offer a more comfortable user experience.
Internally, there are a few upgrades as well. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will reportedly feature a larger vapor chamber for improved cooling. Reverse wireless charging will get a boost to 9W, though the battery capacity is expected to remain at 5000 mAh, with 45W wired charging, just like the S24 Ultra. Under the hood, we’re looking at the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor for global markets.
The official launch is expected in January 2025, so more details are likely to emerge in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
