Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Gets Two Cover Screens Instead of One

After seeing some renders for the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro, now it’s time to check out what the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will look like. The answer is “sleeker” and also more complicated. A not so legit source revealed the renders below.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets not one but two external screens (cover screens) this time around. This may be a move done in order to counter the very large cover screen which OPPO implemented on its OPPO Find N2 Flip handset. We’re dealing with a 3.3 incher there and we may get a 3.4 incher here. The weirder thing is that there’s yet another screen next to the cameras, showing only basic info like time, date, battery percentage and AR Emojis.

The larger 3.4 inch screen would cover the remaining cover of the device when folded. It’s supposed to have an aspect ratio of 1:1.038, pretty close o square. The larger panel would show notifications, widgets, Quick Settings and more, plus be used as a viewfinder. The device shown here has flat sides and rounder corners. The clamshell should close without a gap, on account of the new waterdrop hinge.

Inside the handset we’ll find the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and the cameras will feature larger sensors than the Z Flip 4 ones. Battery capacity may jump again from 3700 to 4000 mAh this time. We could also see a price jump.
