Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, as well as the Galaxy Ring have received recently a debut time frame. Apparently, they’re about to debut in early July, but till then we have a major leak for the largest of the 3 models: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Courtesy of @OnLeaks and Smartprix, we get to see the boxier design of the newcomer unveiled. The new model will have a thick frame apparently and measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm when unfolded, which means it’s 1.4 mm shorter and 2.6 mm wider compared to the Z Fold 5. The next gen phone is supposed to adopt some design traits from the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
It packs a side mounted fingerprint scanner, in the Power button and has volume rocker keys on the right. On the left edge there’s a SIM card tray. There are 3 mics on board and a speaker grille at the top, while the bottom host an USB-C port, another mic and a speaker grille. At the back we get to see a pill shaped protrusion, which hosts 3 vertically stacked camera sensors and LED flash unit.
There’s also a 7.6 inch internal screen and a 6.2 inch external screen, so sadly the aspect ratio of the external panel will once again be cramped. No storage slot yet again, but we probably get cases with dedicated slots. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU will be on board, as well as Galaxy AI, which is pretty much a given nowadays.
One UI 6.1.1 will be available on top of Android 14 and the main camera will not be a 200 MP one, as rumored at some point.
