Ben Ling has created a bunch of Sony concept phones so far and here’s a new one, after a long period of break. The Sony Xperia ZP is the name here and the device feels like some fort of Xperia Z Mini, if I can call it that way.
The phone’s design is pretty basic, your usual rectangular, but the extra plastic edges make me think of those not so appealing edges of the HTC One Mini, if you know them. The Xperia ZP packs a 4.55 inch HD Triluminous display with X Reality for mobile and a 720p resolution. Below you can see a comparison between the Sony Xperia ZP and Xperia SP.
We’ve got a 13 megapixel camera with HDR and LED flash at the back, an Exmor RS sensor for image and video, 16x digital zoom and Full HD video recording. There’s a quad core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor inside, a removable battery and PlayStation Certification. The device measures 7.6 mm in thickness, features NFC and it’s both dust and water proof.
We’ve got 2 GB of RAM, 4G LTE, Android 4.3, 16 GB of storage and a Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery. What do you think of this render?
