Sony Xperia XZ3 is just two weeks away from unveiling at IFA 2018, but some people are already dreaming ahead. Designer PHConcepts has envisioned a so called Sony Xperia Z4 already and you can see it rendered below.

The device has a bezelless screen and a very discrete notch upfront. It’s a bit smaller than the one on the Huawei P20 Lite, but also bigger than the fashionable teardrop notch of the Oppo R17 and F9. The handset itself looks too slim for its own good, making it prone to breakage. It even feels like a phone that’s slimmer than 7 mm in waistline.

Lately Sony has been exaggerating with girth, making its devices quite beefy and heavy, much like battery phones. It may be time for a change, not as drastical as this one though. This Sony Xperia Z4 seems to be made of metal this time around, so there’s no glass surface at the back. I also can’t seem to spot the earpiece, so it may be integrated within the screen, just like the fingerprint scanner.

This is quite a long phone, that reminds me of the older iPhone concepts thanks to its minimalistic approach. Not sure about that “double bezel” feeling I’m getting on the sides or about the small camera lenses. The bezel less approach is something to follow though.
