Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s Asymmetrical Camera Design Leaks

Today we meet the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, now revealing its asymmetrical main camera design. It’s expected in 2025, but it has already leaked and we have a glance at its camera area first.

Before you get too excited, note that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra won’t be dropping until early 2025. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro are launching in just a few days (or even hours), making them the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. As for the 15 Ultra, it sports a circular camera module with sensors arranged in a unique, inverted “L” layout—an asymmetry that might bug those with OCD. The setup features two flash modules at the top, a Leica logo, and a periscope telephoto camera at the uppermost position.

This flagship packs four cameras in total, headlined by a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter offering 4.3X optical zoom and an F/2.6 aperture, powered by a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, alongside a 50 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP telephoto with 2X optical zoom. Up front, there’s a 32 MP selfie camera.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Powering it all is a massive 6000 mAh battery, supporting 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. It will run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android 15. Expect some exclusive Leica-inspired camera features, including new filters, LOG and LUT capture modes, and AI enhancements.

This is definitely shaping up to be a device camera enthusiasts won’t want to miss.
