Xiaomi had a bit of a bummer week, between the fact that they moved the launch date of the Mi 10 from February 11th to the 13th and also they made it online only, on account of the coronavirus. At the same time they also lost the title of “first company with a Snapdragon 865 phone”, since ZTE and Samsung already took the premiere home. Now ahead of tomorrow’s unveiling of the Mi 10 we see its latest renders.

They are created by Techconfigurations, who wanted to show us what the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G could end up looking like. It looks a lot like a combination between the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi Note 10. It has 5G this time and a quad back camera, plus a Snapdragon 865 CPU. The selfie camera is placed in a punch hole in the screen, a singular one, even though I expected a dual one like the Redmi K30. There’s an in display fingerprint scanner and a 5000+ mAh battery here, in spite of the slim waistline.

I see the screen is also curved on the sides, perhaps not as curved as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 one. There’s also up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, 65W fast charging and the 6.39 inch screen is a Super AMOLED with 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR 10 support. I’m curious if it’s a Quad HD or Full HD panel. No big surprises here overall, well maybe except for the colors: red, green, blue, brown, cyan, dark blue. We’ll learn more tomorrow, but one thing is for sure: the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be hundreds of dollars cheaper than the freshly unveiled Galaxy S20 models.
Also, as a side note, I expected a much larger screen.
