Put your social boots on and start drooling for a gadget that finally allows you to check how popular you are on MySpace while walking to school. It’s a MySpace Mobile, a concept for now, or at least I think so, since I found it on Flickr. The device’s motto seems to be “A phone for friends”.
Now let’s see how friendly it really is.
MySpace Mobile features a pressure-sensitive retractable keypad and allows the user to send and receive comments, photos, videos and voice messages on the go. It also comes with Bluetooth profiles and supports synching with the PC version of MySpace Calendar.
In case you get bored, you can download and watch MySpace videos, get songs and ringtones from MySpace Music and of course use the MySpace IM. This concept phone supports 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, comes with a full MP3 and video player and last, but not least includes patented “Touch Tabs” for unique control.

First day at the new kindergarten? In case your child is feeling separated from the rest of the kids and he needs you, the Ico phone comes to your aid, allowing parents to reach their children and comfort them, when they’re feeling lonely. Based on a touchscreen that shows vivid emoticons, this concept phone for kids might as well be next best thing after the Tamagotchi era.
Ico has power/scroll buttons on top and a rubber back that increases grip and impact durability. The device also includes a speaker and an a/c power adapter, keeping it really simple and childish, in a good way.
Using Ico, your child can send you a “kiss” icon during the lunch break and it even gets a phone number, assigned by your service provider, so that it can receive voice mails and allow the kid to send/receive text messages.

When you’re dealing with a phone that’s designed for children, you’ll have to think like one, so that’s what I did and I started wondering what the deal with the handset’s central front button was.
Is that a phonebook or Batman’s logo? Of course it’s a phonebook, you’ll say, but there’s always a slight chance of something fun popping up in those concept phones. This device was designed by Cromosoma 23 and posted on Coroflot.
Other than that I have to say that I love the phone’s sexy curves, but I’m guessing that it’s a bit big to be appealing in this age of technology, even for a kid. Also, if it’s really a handset for children it has to feature games, or else it’ll be the second choice gadget the kids will be using, right after the portable consoles.

Well Nokia knows better than to give a handheld gaming device another go, considering their lack of success with the N-Gage. While they’re getting ready for a N-Gage platform experience, Cromosoma 23 from Coroflot shows us Nokia DA-GAME, a handheld console designed for father and son experiences.
I see that the device only features a D-pad plus two more buttons on its back and a pretty decent display. Unless that display is a touchscreen, we won’t be playing anything better than Tetris, Asteroids or Pong. I guess they’ll do, specially if these gadgets are bought by parents for their 5 year old who has never heard of the PSP.

If you liked the heart-shaped Okids concept phone, you’ll also enjoy the Kid mobile phone, designed by Eric Zhang from Illinois. It targets a public made out of kids that are less than 10 years old and its features are basic enough to make it child-friendly.
There’s an emergency button on the left of the Kid Phone and the parent’s numbers are set with the aid of an USB connection. The young user only has to press a button to call his folks from this Pokemon generation gadget. It kind of reminds me of the virtual pet devices era…you know Tamagotchi and stuff.
You know what this phone needs? Some gaming features, the usual Tetris or Bubble Bobble, perhaps even Arkanoid.

Although Valentine’s Day has passed, people are always keen on heart-shaped devices, specially on those designed for children. This is also the case of the Okids Heart concept phone designed by Sung-kyun Nam and posted on Coroflot. It’s a handset that targets 5 year olds or older kids and it would be nice to see it surfacing under Anycall’s branding.
Of course, this is a cellphone that parents will buy for their children, specially due to its catchy design, as it morphs from its standard pill shape to a heart shape. They stand for love and protection, defining the ideal kids phone.
Did I mention that it features some version of Tetris?
