Bob Freking sent us an email of a brand new BlackBerry concept if the Windows Phone BlackBerry from today wasn’t enough. He calls his design the BlackBerry Elegance and even gives it a custom UI called Berry UI on top of Android. The skin is made by RIM and complements the experience offered by Google’s mobile OS.

Various widgets resembling BB OS are included and a couple of UI modifications to make BlackBerry users feel right at home. The handset comes with a 3 inch screen with a 480 x 640 pixel resolution and 266 ppi density. Also on board there’s a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture ability. Under the display there’s a BlackBerry button and a QWERTY keyboard, that I first though it was a virtual one, but it turned out to be physical.

If you ask me, I’d go with the crazy idea of having a main 3 inch touchscreen and a touch keyboard separated from it at the bottom part of the smartphone. Crazy, right? The UI is very elegant and the elongated shape of the device is actually pretty trendy, since the iPhone 5 is also rumored to be pretty long. Anyway, any step taken in this direction would be a win for RIM, compared to NO phone, which is what they’re doing now.
