The speculation about a 2021 iPhone that goes crazy with wireless connectivity is growing. Particularly since the EU is said to force Apple to adopt the USB-C connector. Apple may go with a different route and opt for total wireless charging and transfers. Ben Geskin has a vision of the 2021 iPhone.

OK so first of all we don’t even have a guarantee regarding the way the new iPhone will look like in 2020. It may get rid of the notch, it may not, who knows? Second, it’s all very plausible, because folks like Ben Geskin have very well connected sources. What we’re hearing is that the so called iPhone 13 will have a 6.7 inch 120 Hz microLED display, without notch and with under screen Touch ID. At the back we see a triple camera and the device also has no ports or holes.

We’re heading into a 5G future, there’s WiFi everywhere and iTunes is dead. It all makes sense to sync everything up and charge up the device wirelessly. Since Apple is a trend setter, everybody will follow suit. There’s been attempts via the Meizu ZERO and Vivo Apex 2019, but those were just concepts of port and button less phones. As you can see, Apple will keep the buttons, though… at least for now. Getting rid of holes and ports also makes the device improve its waterproofing and as you probably know, it should get rid of one component which spoils as time passes.

Either your connector (USB, Lightning whatever) gets damaged or the cable you’re using will break especially when held at a weird angle. The biggest problem is when you’re on the go and you forgot your wireless charger for the iPhone 13. Also wireless charging will have to make leaps in order to match the wired one in speed.
