Leave it to @OnLeaks and mysmartprice to create proper renders for a yet unlaunched product. They always seem to be able to score the right size and CAD files to create spot on renders and this is also the case today. We’re dealing with the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2018), that’s expected to be unveiled next month. Let’s see what it has to offer.

First of all, it’ll come without a Home button and without Touch ID, relying on the Face ID mechanism for authentication. It could also end up as the very first iPad without a 3.5 mm audio jack. The narrow bezels and the rectangular format make me feel like I’m looking at a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, since it has a similar approach. We still have a metal unibody design here, with a pretty much protruding camera, with flash.

There’s also the Smart Connector placed at the bottom, since apparently Apple did some tests and saw that Face ID wasn’t working well in landscape mode. That’s why you have to go with Portrait mode when mounting the device on a Smart Keyboard Cover. The actual size of the machine is 280.6 x 215 x 5.85 mm, with the waistline turning into 7.77 mm if you include the camera bump.

An interesting feat is the presence of a button-like artefact on the right hand side of the machine and it could be anything really. The creators of the render also mention things like 4 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, an Apple A12X processor and $800+ prices. The only thing I didn’t expect is the lack of notch to be honest.
