Interesting rumors have emerged regarding the upcoming iPhone SE 4. According to recent reports, Apple is planning some significant changes for this model. First, the iPhone SE 4 might take design cues from the iPhone 14, potentially featuring Face ID and abandoning the classic Touch ID. Additionally, it could come with a 6.1-inch OLED display, moving away from the LCD used in previous versions.
Another intriguing aspect concerns the hardware specifications. According to the information, the iPhone SE 4 will be the first “Special Edition” model to support Apple Intelligence, thanks to 8GB of RAM. This upgrade could position the phone more competitively against other models. There is also speculation that the new SE will be equipped with a more powerful chipset, possibly the A18, surpassing the A15 Bionic used in the iPhone 14.
There has been a lot of discussion recently about the price of this device. With the iPhone 14 starting at around $599 and the previous SE 3 model launching at approximately $375 (we’re talking about US prices here), analysts are wondering where the SE 4 will land on this scale. Regardless of the price, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to remain a budget phone but with specifications worthy of premium versions. And, of course, Apple will need to consider the validity of its existing product lineup to avoid overlapping its models.

However, one detail revealed by renowned leaker Sonny Dickson is that a supposed case for the iPhone SE 4 shows a traditional cutout for the mute switch, without replacing it with the new Action button introduced on the iPhone 16 models. Also, there don’t seem to be any signs of a dedicated camera control button on the future SE 4. Therefore, the effectiveness of these features remains to be seen once the product is officially launched. Until the official debut, all we can do is speculate and keep an eye out for more possible leaks!
