This week Xiaomi has a special event, where they will most likely unveil the Xiaomi Mi5 phone, but till then let’s see a concept of the device. Rendered by Chen Li, the device can be checked out below.
The Xiaomi Mi5 concept has a pretty basic design, with a pretty big logo and earpiece upfront and what seems to be a metal case. The device has volume buttons that are a bit too big to be modern and its bezels aren’t slim enough by modern standards. The back area looks quite nice, but I don’t find it necessary to include both a logo at the front and one at the back..
Its whole camera piece reminds me quite a bit of the HTC One X, that had a good looking back shooter. This smartphone is said to come with a Snapdragon 810 64 bit octa core processor, a water resistant case, a 5.5 inch Quad HD display and a 20 megapixel camera with a Sony sensor. USB 3.0 and 4 GB of RAM should also be in the mix, together with a solid front camera for selfies.
