Sony PlayStation Portable Concept Gets the 2020 Treatment

It would appear that PSP Phone concepts are highly popular on our website, so much so, that we set out looking for a 2020 version. Designer Life Style has envisioned said Sony PlayStation Phone, with a 2020 twist and you can check it out below, with a video included.

There are several things that need to happen if you’re going to make a 2020 PlayStation Phone. First of all, it has to be slim, light and integrate a generous display. Second of all, you definitely need a large catalog of games. As you can see, this device fits the bill and also gets a triple back camera, probably similar to the ASUS ROG Phone 3 one. Considering how skinny this device is, battery life is probably not that great, or the screen is just HD.

I supposed cartridges are gone and this is definitely a portable console that uses downloadable games. It has two thumbsticks on the sides, a D Pad and 4 action buttons, as it should. I love the fact that the screen has very narrow bezels at the top and bottom. Apparently, even 5G is thrown in the mix here, even though that would definitely kill the battery. Should buttons seem to have been kept, but in a much slimmer fashion. I would have gone with capacitive buttons, but those are not the most responsive to be honest.

If I were to guess, I’d say we’re getting a 6 inch Full HD screen here, a Snapdragon CPU, or maybe even that powerful MediaTek Helio G90T. The camera definitely has some AR tricks up its sleeve. The correct pricing? $299 or maybe even $199 if Sony is feeling generous.
