After so many hobby renders of the Google Pixel 2, today we get one that’s closer to an official leak of the machine, or better said machines. We’re talking about the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, both rendered courtesy of @OnLeaks and MySmartprice.com.

They’re using officially leaked dimensions of the smartphones and have created CAD renders based on those. These two sources actually collaborated before on a bunch of LG V30 renders, that looked very believable. With HTC in pole position to make the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL, it’s no wonder that the new devices look a lot like the first gen ones.

The dimensions are 145.3 x 69.3 x 7.8 mm for the Pixel 2 and 157.6 x 76.3 x 7.9 mm for the Pixel XL 2. Both waistlines increase to 8.2 mm and 8.6 mm respectively once you count the camera bump. We should mention that the bezel size has decreased greatly compared to the Pixel and Pixel XL. There’s no dual camera here, as it was believed for quite a long while before the devices leaked.

The glass window at the back is now smaller and interestingly there’s no audio jack here. Finally, a Snapdragon 836 CPU has been included on both machines. The bodies are made mostly of metal, aside from the 2.5D glass panel upfront and the small one at the back. This feels very much like something Huawei would make within the Nova series, by the way.
