Evan Blass is here again to clear the air regarding the many, many leaks of the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. Some of the leaks have been contradictory, but now we have settled into a pattern. So, let’s check out the novelty below.
We first get the Google Pixel 2 XL inside a case and then without one. The dual tone color approach of the back is confirmed, looking mighty weird and double weird when the Power button and volume button get different color accents. The facade feels like a combo of the iPhone X and LG G6, while the Pixel Launcher is certainly odd, with that bottom search bar.
Believe it or not the HTC made Google Pixel 2 is growing on me, because I figured out what HTC was going for: a gaming device, properly held by those big edges with the speakers. The two holes below the camera flash kind of spoil the look and the color combo of the gray/blue version feels like a kindergarten toy of sorts. Sadly, while the facades of both models are interesting, or semi innovative, the backs are a combo of the Nexus 6P and Google Pixel, feeling much cheaper than the competition.
I am not impressed…
