@OnLeaks and Slashleaks. Let’s see what they’ve got.
The LG V40 is starting to get more and more realistic, as the leaks happen more often. It seems to have settled into a design direction quite fast, without any ambiguity. And now we have a set of CAD renders courtesy ofFirst of all, the phone clearly has a triple back camera and also a 6.3 inch display with a narrow notch. Said notch features two cameras, which isn’t exactly odd, since HTC’s flagship has two front cameras and the Pixel 3 XL is also expected to go the same way. I find it odd that the device does keep the back side fingerprint scanner, in spite of the current trend involving a display-integrated scanner.
I can’t say I’m blown away by the design and I feel it continues in the same vein as the LG V30 and LG G7, perhaps less narrow. I’m not sure how 3 cameras oriented horizontally will work, instead of a vertical orientation, or the Huawei Mate 20 “L” shaped one. I’m pretty sure that this is the final design, though. Not very clear what the advantages of the dual front camera are, aside from selfie Bokeh, which can easily be achieved via software and a single cam… Just look at the Pixel 2 XL.
We need more innovation people! I look forward to learning more about the camera features.
