POCO M3 Renders Leaked, Looking More and More Like a Pocket Camera

Believe it or not one of the next big phone launches in 2020 is the one of a midrange device, the POCO M3. The device has just leaked in renders and specs and while we are dealing with a midrange phone, at least it’s a brave one, when it comes to the design. So, let’s dissect everything below.

POCO decided to leave quite a bit of room for the camera module, actually they elongated it to take up one quarter of the back side. The actual sensors are much less than that, but the POCO logo gets its own room. It’s a different approach compared to Oppo or Realme, or even Honor, that chose to spread the branding in a horizontal fashion across the back. This black area at the top of the phone makes it seem like a cameraphone, like a Galaxy S20 Ultra relative from the distance.

The device is said to have rather modest specs, like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, a 6000 mAh battery and a triple camera with a main 48 MP sensor. To me it sounds like it’s trying to rival a Galaxy M and at the time maybe a OnePlus Nord N10 or N100. Upfront we find a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. I’ll remind you that the device becomes official on November 24th and that’s when its design and specs will be finalized. By the way, the screen is expected to be an IPS LCD with a 6.53 inch diagonal, Dot Drop and a Full HD+ resolution.

There’s quite a bit of a chin upfront and we also get the following color choices: yellow, black and blue. The yellow one feels like the Nokia Lumia 1020 a bit. The price? Anywhere around $200 is good for me. I feel this may end up being a hit in India.
