Karl Jayson Panase sent us a new Nokia concept dubbed RM-960. This is a Windows Phone 8 GDR3 device with a 4.7 inch diagonal and a true evolution of the Fabula design, as shown below.
We’re dealing with a slab of metal or polycarbonate here, a pretty slim smartphone actually, but also pretty wide. It packs a 20 megapixel Pureview camera with impressive 4 microns pixel size, so double the amount of the HTC One camera. The sensor measures 1/1.8 inches, so it’s huge and we’ve got Carl Zeiss lenses and optical image stabilization.
There’s a quad core Snapdragon processor inside at 2.2 GHz, with next gen Krait 400 cores and Adreno 330 GPU. At the back there’s a high power LED flash and inside we find 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage, plus an extra 64 thanks to microSD. I can see that the Windows Phone buttons are pretty close to the lower edge, which would be my only objection here.
