OnePlus 12 Renders Show Periscope Telephoto Camera

It’s been a while since we had a render here for a non top 5 smartphone brand, but here we are with OnePlus 12 registering a pretty big leak. We’re talking about CAD based renders courtesy of @OnLeaks and Mysmartprice.

The device will finally get a periscope camera, after the predecessor underwhelmed us with a mere 2X optical zoom camera. The camera module design reminds me of the OnePlus 11 one and its changes involves the appearance of a periscope shooter. The main and ultrawide sensors are in the top “row” now, while below them we find the Hasselblad logo.

The Swedes will handle color calibration. The screen is gently curved on the sides and the punch hole for the selfie camera is now centered, instead of being to the side. The screen is said to measure 6.7 inches in diagonal and it’s going to be an OLED with QHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. OnePlus 12 is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, which will be unveiled in October this year.

The 5000 mAh battery on board will juice up at 100W or 150W. There’s talk of both a 50 MP main camera and also a 50 MP ultrawide camera, while the periscope shooter opts for a 64 MP sensor. Selfies are taken with a 32 MP unit.
