Oppo Reno14 official renders leak; Updated camera layout, big battery

Oppo is gearing up to launch the Reno14 series in China on May 15, and thanks to reliable leakster @evleaks, we now have a much clearer look at what to expect. The latest renders show a clean, flat-screen design with a centered punch-hole selfie camera and a square-ish camera module on the back. The back setup includes two large sensors, an LED flash, and a layout that reminds us a bit of older iPhones. The color palette includes Black, White, and the standout Mint Green. While the model shown is likely the vanilla Reno14, both it and the Pro variant have had many of their specs revealed through benchmark leaks and insider info.

Under the hood, the standard Reno14 will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, paired with 12 GB of RAM. The Reno14 Pro upgrades this to the Dimensity 8450, an efficient and AI-focused iteration with slight performance boosts. Both phones will ship with Android 15 out of the box, customized with Oppo’s ColorOS 15, which also replaces the default Google Dialer with Oppo’s own ODialer app.

Display-wise, the Reno14 brings a 6.59-inch LTPS OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate – a solid offering for multimedia and casual gaming. The front camera is a 50 MP shooter with autofocus, which is rare in this price segment.

The rear camera setup is where things get more interesting. The standard Reno14 will pack a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP Samsung JN5 telephoto sensor capable of 2x or 3x optical zoom. For a base model, having a dedicated telephoto lens is a notable upgrade. The Reno14 Pro builds on this by swapping in a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera, likely offering 3.5x optical zoom. Oppo seems to be targeting a flagship-grade photo experience, without necessarily jumping into flagship pricing territory.

Key specs list for the OPPO Reno14 series:

Chipset:

  • Reno14: MediaTek Dimensity 8400
  • Reno14 Pro: MediaTek Dimensity 8450

Display:

  • Reno14: 6.59” LTPS OLED, 1.5K, 120Hz
  • Reno14 Pro: 6.83” LTPS OLED, 1.5K, 120Hz
  • Main camera: 50 MP with OIS
  • Ultrawide camera: 8 MP
  • Telephoto camera: Reno14: Samsung JN5 50 MP (2x/3x optical zoom)
  • Reno14 Pro: 50 MP periscope (3.5x optical zoom)
  • Selfie camera: 50 MP with autofocus
  • Battery: Around 6000 mAh with 80W wired charging
  • Certifications: IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance
  • OS: Android 15 with ColorOS 15
  • Other features: Cold-forged glass back, aluminum frame, ODialer

Battery life is also a major highlight, with both models rumored to house high-density silicon batteries of around 6000 mAh. Despite the battery size, Oppo is said to keep the design thin and lightweight. The build also includes IP68 and IP69 certification, so expect water and dust protection on both. Availability outside China hasn’t been confirmed, but a global release could follow in the next few months.

While official pricing is still unknown, we estimate the base Reno14 could start around €500, with the Pro version landing near €650.
